The Asian century makes for a good headline, but is it real? Not until the Asian consumer becomes king and the regions varied economies work for  greater Asian integration.

Asia’s assorted economies need to find a way to move from a more export oriented regime to one that is more self-sustaining, only then will Asians truly prosper and reap the benefits of an Asian Century, explains Stephen Roach, chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia and author of The Next Asia: Opportunities and Challenges for a New Globalization, in this video.
