Beginners: This is a 22 hour, introduction to Chinese language course. During this course, students will gain a firm grasp of Chinese phonetics, be able to introduce themselves – say who they are, where they are from and what they do, they will also learn Chinese numbers and will be able to bargain as well as give clients a date and time (deadline).
HSK 1: If you wish to learn the language more in depth, we recommend the international certification in Mandarin. An extension of the Beginners course above, HSK 1 will teach students to read, write, understand and speak basic Mandarin confidently. In addition to the topics covered in the Beginners course, described above, students will learn to oder food at a restaurant, check into a hotel and exchange money at the bank. This 50 hour course will focus on conversational Chinese to make sure all students are prepared for real world situations in China.
What will you learn?
During the Beginners course, students will learn 200 Mandarin words and 10 key grammar points, enabling you to make simple sentences about your everyday experiences.
At the end of the Chinese Language course, students will be able to follow the general meaning of a conversation on familiar subjects, handle common social and routine work situations and apply learnt material to meet their immediate communicative needs in China.

How long will it take me to be fluent in the language?
Various Chinese language skill sets require different levels of Mandarin. Depending on how much you want from the language, you will need to invest in it. Just as you sow; so shall you reap.
To be able to have a conversation with your customers, colleagues or friends in China or apply to university / college (HSK 2); it should take you upto 8 months of Mandarin language training with Inchin Closer. In order to apply for a job; or teach Mandarin (HSK 3); it should take you more than a year of Chinese language classes with Inchin Closer. To be close to native level fluency i.e. to be able to conduct translations and Interpretation from Chinese to English (HSK 5 or HSK 6), it will take about three years of Chinese language classes.
On completion, you will be able to speak confidently to a native Chinese person across a range of topics. You will also be able to understand what native Chinese people are saying during negotiations as well as read and write Mandarin Characters.

I've heard Mandarin is a difficult language to learn, will I be able to pick it up?
We have a special team of experts who have studied how Indians learn Mandarin best and as a result have devised our own syllabus specifically for the Indian audience. In addition, we are Mumbai’s only Mandarin language Institute to teach authentic Mandarin, with a native Chinese teacher. This becomes very important while learning tones and understanding modern Chinese language and culture. Additionally, we supplement our classes with multimedia materials to make learning Mandarin interactive, fun and easy to learn. Having said that, Mandarin, like any language, needs constant practice, so you will need to invest in the language to master it.
What will I be able to do after the course?
Since Inchin Closers classes cover all 4 skills – listening; speaking; reading and writing at the end of each Chinese language level you will be able to comprehensively communicate in the language. How can I learn Chinese language easily?
Chinese is a logical language to learn, once you have mastered the Chinese tones and learnt the logic behind the characters; the grammar and vocabulary is fairly easy to pick up. In comparison, learning English seems more complicated!
Chinese Vs Mandarin language
Chinese is an umbrella language. Mandarin is a dialect of Chinese. Chinese is a language (Mandarin is one of the dialects of Chinese alongside Shanghainese, Cantonese and many more). When you look at it closely, there are actually over 200 dialects of Chinese! Mandarin is the most widely spoken. It’s called “普通话 (Pǔ tōng huà), which literally translates into “common tongue.” It has fewer tones than most other dialects (4 compared to Cantonese’s 9!) and is taught throughout mainland China in schools. When people are talking about “speaking Chinese,” they are most likely to be referring to Mandarin.
What is the Chinese language?
Chinese language is the general term for the main language spoken on Mainland China. It is also called Hànyǔ or Zhōngwén or Pǔ tōng huà.There are about 1.2 billion Chinese language speakers worldwide. Imagine if you speak Hindi and Mandarin; you can speak to more than 1/3rd or 30% of the world’s population! It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. It is both a creative and logical language; using both the left and right sides of the brain.
What's the difference between Mandarin & Cantonese?
Mandarin and Cantonese are the two largest different types of Chinese language. Mandarin is the official language of Mainland China and Cantonese is a dialect spoken only in the southern province of Guangdong and Hong Kong. Taiwan speaks a language similar to Mandarin although the Taiwanese accent is different and Taiwan uses the traditional Mandarin script Vs China uses simplified Mandarin. At Inchin Closer, we teach the Beijing dialect of Chinese language and the simplified Mandarin script, both of which are official and widely spoken across China.
Should I learn Chinese?

Why is the Chinese language so complex?
The Chinese language is one of the five oldest languages of the world. Similar to Latin and Sanskrit. As a result the language has evolved over many centuries and included many different aspects. First it is a phonetic language which means it works on sounds rather than alphabets, secondly it is a pictographic language which means its script is based on pictures. As a result of these two points, Mandarin Chinese is considered to be complex however there is a standard logic throughout the language. Once you understand the logic, learning Mandarin Chinese is not complex, difficult or complicated for anybody.
What are the different dialects of the Chinese language?
China has 23 provinces and five autonomous regions, each province and autonomous region has its own distinct dialect. Mandarin binds all these provinces and regions by creating one common language for the entire country.
How many alphabets are there in the Chinese language?
The Chinese language doesn’t have alphabets, rather they have characters which are derived from pictures. There are more than 10,000 Chinese characters, you need to know a minimum of 3,000 characters to read a newspaper.
What are the different levels of Mandarin?
It depends on the level you want to achieve. In order to have a basic conversation about the weather and go shopping in China, a month of learning Mandarin regularly should suffice. However, if you do want to master the language, dedicate a few years to learning Mandarin. Nonetheless, most Chinese will also tell you that they are still learning the language, as like any living language, it keeps evolving.
What kinds of international certification in Chinese language?
Inchin Closer offers international certification courses in Mandarin Chinese for adults and kids classes. The International certification for adults is called the HSK and stands for Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì and HSKK for Hànyǔ shuǐpíng kǒuyǔ kǎoshì. Both tests are an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency for those who study Mandarin as a second language.The YCT stands for the Youth Chinese Test – an international certification for kids to assess their Chinese language level and ability to apply Chinese language in their studies and daily lives. Mandarin is the national language of Mainland China. However Chinese language, which is a group of languages spoken in Taiwan, Hongkong, Singapore and Malaysia is widely spoken as China’s economic influence in South East Asia increases.
